Train Transfers To and From Des Moines International Airport

Iowa has railway transit options. However, the nearest train station to Des Moines International Airport is about 69 km or 50 minutes away.

Arriving passengers who wish to take the train to their destination will have to get to the train station by taking a shuttle or a taxi.

The shuttle will take you to the bus station at Iowa State University. From this point, you will transfer to a bus that will take you to Osceola train station.

Outbound DSM passengers can take the railways to Osceola train station and hail a cab from there to reach the airport.

It is also possible to take the bus and shuttle option, however, it will take more time. Only choose this option if you have enough time before your airport check-in.
